Delta M thermal differential level and flow switches use thermal differential technology to sense changes in the thermal conductivity characteristics of a certain medium. The probe is composed of a pair of paired thermal resistors (RTDs) installed inside 316L series stainless steel tubes. One RTD uses continuous direct current to self heat, while the other RTD remains unheated to provide an accurate reference for the ambient temperature. The thermal difference generated between the heated and reference RTDs is a function of the density and/or velocity of the medium in contact with the probe. When there is no flow (or dry) state, the difference is the greatest, and when the flow increases (or wet) state, this difference decreases.
Performance characteristics
Thermal differential principle, no moving parts, high reliability, easy maintenance.
Fully welded structure, all metal parts (316L series stainless steel or Hastelloy), not easily reactive with the medium.
The adhesion of the medium during operation will not cause a decrease in performance.
Can operate in high temperature and high pressure environments without pressure drop concerns.
Suitable as a protective device for important equipment and processes.
• Detectable interface and application in micro traffic scenarios.
